In 1974 After Dark Magazine a prestigious coffee table
top national publication of who's who dedicated a special issue on the people,
the place and pace-setters
of San Francisco, featuring Mullleian along with seventy
two other San Francisco personalities, such as, Seiji
Osawa, Francis Ford Coppola, Herb Caen, Allen Ginsberg, Charles Pierce, Bill Graham, Sylvester, Eric Hoffer, Ferlinghetti, Robert and Lorene Shields, Scott Beach, Grace Slick, Paul Winfield, Keith Rockwell Mitchell Brothers, Peter Burian and many more. The photo became one of Mulleian's most famous and has been republished by many newspapers, magazines and periodicals throughout the 70's in the United States. The artist's controversial and avant-garde views created a unique ongoing relationship with the media of two cultures which became a photographer's delight. He was well documented by renowned photographers to student photographers from San Francisco's Academy along with photo journalist and writers that surrounded the artist and his work during that area. |
